Aelia Suites complex is located at the heart of the traditional settlement of Akrotiri, and offers the ease of access to walk everywhere around the village. Within few minutes one can reach the Medieval Castle, the center of the village, ATM, the bus station, traditional restaurants, mini markets, the famous prehistoric Archaeological site and the nearby beaches. The surrounding area features traditional houses, narrow streets and a peaceful environment ideal for relaxation and privacy.
Akrotiri is one of the most important prehistoric settlements of the Aegean, dating back the 4500 BC. After the excavations of 1963, the 1/3 of the archaeological site was unearthed and nowdays, it reveals the prehistoric sophisticated for that era society and town. During the Medieval years, Akrotiri was one of the 5 fortified settlements of the island. The village offers one of the best views on the island which reach as far as Oia, stunning sunset views, the best fresh fish taverns, the famous Red & White beach and other quiet undeveloped beaches with clear blue waters.
